Outsourcing saves jobs

Embedded Systems CEOs Defend Outsourcing

I love the line that "CEO's have a moral obligation to their shareholders to improve the productivity of their companies.

T.J. Rodgers, CEO of Cypress Semiconductor, claims that the 2000 jobs his company provides in the US are "protected" by offshore manufacturing.

Well, hold on there Mr. Rodgers! How many of those 2,000 jobs here on US soil are Americans allowed to compete for? It seems like you love to use H1B visaholders. How many Americans or permanant US residents are employed by your company and included in that 2,000 headcount?

Go ahead, search the DOL's database and look at how many H1B visas have been awarded to this company.

Mr. Rodgers you have much nerve telling us how you are benefiting the US economy by shipping jobs offshore. Quit playing word games, we are on to you.

What ITAA is really all about

I posted this article about ITAA's involvement with blackbox voting.

Harris (ITAA): “We were too subtle by half. Our #4 goal, “develop liaisons with key constituencies” is a nice word for lobbying. We just didn’t want a document floating around saying the election industry is in trouble, so they decided to put together a lobbying campaign.”
